The UPA Coordination Committee meeting was held at Sonia Gandhi's home today. On the agenda were the poll preparations for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The internal survey of the UPA on the polls is apparently so alarming that the details were not distributed to allies like NCP chief Sharad Pawar and NC chief Farooq Abdullah.

What we have is that in Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav is coming third while, Mayawati is up to second slot with the BJP set to gain majroity with 45 seats.

In Bihar, Lalu Yadav's party, the RJD ranks cheek-by-jowl with the BJP. And so the battle is between the BJP and the RJD, with the Congress and
JDU in third and fourth position.

Ramesh S Mangalore-First and foremost, we need peace in this country. Modi comes with all excess baggage of Sangh parivar whose ideology thinks that this country belongs to them alone. Remember what happened in Karnataka soon after BJP assumed power? There was the attack on minorities, moral policing, competition on corruption, etc. Now even after Congress came to power BJP sins don't go away simply because they started all the bad blood in the society. We don't care this country does not develop for another 100 years, but for god's sake don't turn India into another Syria, Kosovo, Iraq Pakistan or Afghanistan my friend.Don't believe this Modi.I know Gujarat for 25 years now.It was always developed industrially but not in other area.Even today it remains so.Just visit state bus stations in Gujarat and compare it with Karnataka. You will understand who is better.

Congress won the last 2 elections as underdogs only. We saw only FEKUGIRI from BJP. This time also same thing will happen. BJP will win some seats, but nobody will help them to form the government. All are shy of BJP. The result will be UPA again or third front with congress remote control. There are many states where BJP has no presence at all. Modi is famous only in Gujarat because Gujarathis believe in his lies and like his minority bashing.

Agree that every time Congress formed Govt from back door..but at what cost?..look at the allies who support them SP,BSP,NCP,RJD,LJP, JDS etc all are opportunist corrupt parties..Do you think anything good will happen to this country?..even if Congress tries to bring some bill others will stop..Look at Left parties, they will support Congress around for 4 years and enjoy power & money..when election nears they will withdraw support & start to blame Congress..these parties no vision, no development..what is the use even if UPA last for 100 years by this way? only they can deny BJP to rule that's all..even if MODI shows daydream, it is better live as optimist rather pessimist..

Sonia Gandhi to head 50-member Congress campaign panel-Trying to revive the patient(congress) who is already in COMA.
You have miserably failed to market the product called Rahul Gandhi even though he does not have a single back dot in his carrier with your 5000crores investment with a PR agency.
Look at Modi. Black, red & with all the rainbow dots in his career still his PR agency has marketed him so well, now US is also convinced that he will be the future PM. They are trying to shake hand with him.
I think there is definitely something to learn from Modi!!!

Be it Sonia or Be it Modi,
More focus is given to election campaign than governance.
During governance, common man's plight is is completely forgotten.
Huge expenditure is incurred in the election campaign than on poverty alleviation.
