Independent MLA Shokeen to withdraw support to AAP govt

New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI): After expelled AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny, another Independent legislator Rambir Shokeen announced that he will withdraw support to Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi as it has "failed" to fulfil promises made during polls.

Mundka constituency MLA Shokeen will be meeting Lt Governor Nejeeb Jung today apprising him of his decision to withdraw support to the government and will hold a press conference later during the day.

He said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made several promises on power and water problems in Delhi, but even after several days in office he failed to address the issue.

"We had given support to the AAP based on the issue of removing unnecessary restrictions on villages, extension of 'Lal dora' boundaries and also on the water issue, but they have failed on these fronts.

"Last when, I, Binny and JD(U) MLA Shoaib Iqbal met Kejriwal on February 4, he assured us of starting work on these issues within a week but nothing has been done so far. I had also called up Kejriwal ji but he didn't respond or called me back. So I have decided to withdraw my support," Shokeen said.

Iqbal, however, today said that he will continue extending his support to the AAP government.

"Trouble is mounting for the Dehi government and they have to resolve them so that public and political parties do not face re-election. I will support him on the Jan Lokpal Bill. But from the statement that has come from Arvind Kejriwal, it seems that he is not willing to run the government," he said.

Laxminagar constituency MLA Binny, less than a week ago, withdrew support to the AAP government.

A very accurate observation Joseph sir. If BJP is trembling today, it is only due to AAP and not about corrupt Congress. Feku is very much uncertain about his PM chair and adopting every crooked method to damage the image of AAP. AAP is the only selfless, non-corrupt, non-communal party which aims to clean up the Indian Political system. Those MLAs who joined AAP with a selfish dream to loot the country and become rich overnight realized their evil dream will not come true have withdrawn support to AAP and have been bought by BJP. Jai ho AAP.

Dear Friend, I read over 10 newspapers daily, in three languages. i.e. English, Kannada & Telugu (on line),besides active observation of Twitter on goings. You will agree all the newspapers are giving undue advantage/coverage to AAP. They are dedicated AAP channels like NDTV which covers AAP extensively besides many interviews with AAP leaders. If I need to know about AAP activities only one sided information, I can follow your advice.

There is no answer to my analysis on Toolkit, which AAP doesn't possess & keep asking the time (Mr. Kejriwal on record asking AAP to allow to commit mistakes & learn..but at whose cost?? Then they support their Un-Law minister to hilt, despite info. on his involvement with online scams.

If you still believe AAP should lead the country..all the best.

    Dear Rion,
If you observe the AAP donation collection trend (from AAP site),if will amply prove the dwindling support base. Against about Rs.7.70 Crores in Jan'14, AAP has just received Rs.0.47 Crore in first 10days in Feb. From USA, which is the second highest contributor the donations is almost negligible now.

People understand. Thanks to a major cunning party & media, still AAP is talked about. Once these two support line withdrawn, the reality will dawn.

I am still one of supporter for the cause AAP stood for..i.e. fight against corruption. But one should know how to tackle it. AK has let down millions of middle class dreams & not realising the mistakes he is committing.

Unfortunately, lots of his followers too.

First those who quit/want to withdraw support to AAp must clarify in black n white what is that Kejriwal failed to fulfill. is it these greedy persons personal agendas. India does not move ahead n corruption grows because of this. Here is a man with the mission, but very few want to accept and support it. he has given water has said before the election, he is checking corruption, he cant do everything overnight!

    A. Kejriwal should fall at his own and it is good that congress didn't pull down support to AAP.

BJP WAS THINKING AND CALCULATING THAT CONGRESS WILL PULL THE SUPPORT TO AAP.
AFTER REALIZING CONGRESS IS NOT PULLING DOWN ITS SUPPORT BJP STARTED BUYING THE HORSES AT AN EXORBITANT RATE. Bjp is getting too much kujli/itching.

I don’t think the Delhi government will fall now.
If at all, the chances will be during the general elections to the Lok Sabha.

Rion, BJP supporters expects Mr. Kajeriwal to sit in his A.C. office and clean up Indian corrupt and the communal political system overnight by magic. Instead of Mr. Kajeriwal's struggle to help common men, people are accusing him and discouraging him for his sacrifice. The truth is corrupt and communal parties are having headache due to AAP. If AAP lead the nation, we will hardly have any candidates interested to join politics because they will never be able to loot the country as at present.

Kejriwal is a dirty politician. He came up with support of illegal money from the foreign countries. He won the election by giving fake promises to the people. Now he is talking about corruption only, but he forget other development works. This is end of Kejriwal and end of AAP. Corruption not dangerous for the country. But Kejriwal is a threat to the nation. Even he came under attack of the Supreme court. shameless person.

Rion, world runs on fear..Gods fear, laws fear, security agencies fear..AAP is inciting people not to fear laws & break laws..He is creating a notion that rich people, big companies become rich just by snatching from Poor!! being rich is not sin..i dont think DELHITES will get new Jobs & feed family if AAP runs Govt this way for another one year..Janlokpal is need of the hour but it is not only the issue..why so hurry..why blame game when they haven't even distributed the copy of the bill either to BJP or Congress!! there is basic burning issues which is still not attended..Let the bill take its own time but along with that attend other issues also..AAP is creating an illusion..

"AAP is inciting people not to fear laws & break laws." Ramesh sir, which law you are speaking of ? Politicians though loot the country in broad daylight, despite court sentencing them for years, will get bail and enjoy their life. Same time a petty thief, who steals to survive is caught and dragged by police on the street tying to Motorcycle ? Women are mercilessly beaten on streets for seeking justice ? Ramesh sir, our law is only for poor and helpless. The rich, the politicians have no law. They pour their stinking filthy money and get bail for their every evil & sin. That is what exactly Mr. Kajeriwal is trying to stop. And he cannot stop it sitting in his A.C. room. He has to take a tough stand and adopt dharna and his struggles is for common men. Rich, Corrupt and cunning politicians do not like it and try to malign Mr. Kajeriwal.

This happens when you want to work with one tool & Don't have a tool kit. Only aggression against corruption cannot sustain, you should take people along, work like a team, find inclusiveness within society, know how to inspire & ignite people to work along. simply to put know to govern, where government machinery functions/excels voluntarily.

But unfortunately you know only blame game, accusing without substance & run away, agitation & threat of resignations.

Remember, you got just about 30% votes and 70% people voted against you in Delhi. Thanks to the cunning, scheming of Congress you r in power & put up a show as if elected unanimously.

The joking part is Dilli sambal-na-sake & dreaming to rule India.

What a coincidence! Kieran Bedi too proposes Tool Kit analogy. She has more clarity when she says AAP got only one tool in their kit...AXE which not only they want to use against everyone but against themselves.

Let AAP first have an entire tool kit and learn to use all tools, before using AXE for every purpose

They clearly know that you are on the way to force on Janlokpal bill and Swaraj bills on feb 13th..and they are sure unwillingly they have to support you for this.
