Kerala governor may contest Lok Sabha polls


Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 6 (IANS): Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar is likely to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls from his home state Bihar, sources close to him said Thursday.

The 72-year-old, former Indian Police Service officer of the 1963 batch, was a Congress parliamentarian from the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar from 2004-2009.

His father Satyendra Narayan Sinha, a former chief minister of Bihar was a seven-time parliamentarian from Aurangabad.

Nikhil Kumar was sworn in as the Kerala governor in March last year.
