Kolkata, Feb 6 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee here Thursday urged Presidency University to organise a global education festival.
"Presidency should organise a 'World Education Festival' where brightest minds from across the world can freely exchange ideas," she said at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the varsity's second campus on the fringes of the city.
"The West Bengal government will continue to provide all support to Presidency University," she said.
She also called for online application systems to be made functional in colleges across the state to streamline the admissions procedure.
