Ivorian President expected to visit India in May


New Delhi, Feb 6 (IANS): Côte d'Ivoire President Alassane Ouattara is expected to visit India in May for the India-Africa Summit, a statement issued by the Indian embassy in the West African nation's capital, Abidjan, said.

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Praneet Kaur had again extended the invitation when she met Ouattara in Abidjan late last month.

Praneet Kaur said India is focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and increased trade exchanges between India and Côte d'Ivoire.

During her visit, Praneet Kaur also inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi Technology Park in Grand Bassam, noting that India will take other projects in Cote d’ Ivoire in future.
