Clear day ahead for Delhi


New Delhi, Jan 2 (IANS): It was a chilly morning in the capital with moderate fog at a visibility of 500 metres. The Met Office has, however, forecast clear day ahead.

"The day will remain mainly clear with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius," an India Meteorological Department official said.

The minimum temperature Thursday settled two notches below average at 5.0 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 97 percent.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was recorded two notches below average at 18.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 10.4 degrees Celsius.
