Two killed in Bihar firing


Patna, Jan 2 (IANS): Two people, including a police officer, were killed in a firing incident at a Bihar village late Wednesday night, an officer said Thursday.

Incident took place at Vaishali district's Juranpur police station, over 30 km from here, during a party late Wednesday night when a village head opened fire over some dispute.

Station House Officer, Anil Kumar, and one other person were killed in the firing, Additional Director General of Police Ravinder Kumar told IANS.

An accused village head was absconding after the incident, and police were investigating into the matter, he added.
