Gurgaon woman booked for sending abusive SMSes


Gurgaon, Dec 17 (IANS): A woman was booked here for sending abusive SMSes to a female assistant of her husband, police said Tuesday.

The woman, 45, a resident of posh Sushant Lok 'C' block near sector 46, has been booked under section 66 A of the IT Act.

"She allegedly sent abusive messages to the young woman," Gaurav Phogat, chief of Sushant Lok police station, told IANS.

The accused woman alleged that the female assistant, a resident of Park Place, DLF phase 5, was luring her husband.

The accused started sending SMSes after her phone calls did not elicit a response.

"We are investigating the case," Phogat said.
