Mid-length dress - latest party fashion trend

London, Dec 8 (IANS): Women are slowly shifting their loyalty from mini-skirts to mid-length dresses. A study shows that women are buying more midi-dresses for the 2013 party season as compared to the previous year.

The study conducted by fashion brand George at Asda has revealed that the sales of midi dresses are up by 174 percent for the 2013 party season, compared to the same period last year, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Nicole Scherzinger and Gwyneth Paltrow have set the trend by flaunting midis at various occasions.

The store has found that 79 percent of dresses purchased online this season have been midis, compared to just 11 percent of shorter styles.

The survey also found that 68 percent of women felt more confident in a mid-length dress with 34 percent of women over 50 naming their knees as one of their key problem areas.
