Creative opinions, not differences with Vishal: Abhishek Chaubey

Mumbai, Dec 2 (IANS): Director Abhishek Chaubey, who has teamed up with producer Vishal Bhardwaj for "Dedh Ishqiya" post the success of 2010 movie "Ishqiya", says creative differences never marred their working relationship. In fact, they only share creative opinions.

"He is such a great person. I have worked with him before and I share a great rapport with him. He never interferes at all," Chaubey told IANS.

"In fact, he came to the set only once while we were shooting. There are only creative opinions and no creative differences with him. He has a lot of faith in me, he is a great producer," he added.

Chaubey says "Dedh Ishqiya" was shot in the dirtiest locations, and he is thankful to the film's cast - Madhuri Dixit, Huma Qureshi, Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and others for not cribbing.

"When they were shooting in Lucknow, the location - Mahmudabad Palace - was two hours away from the hotel and the road was very bad, but still everyone used to come with the same energy on the sets everyday.

"Even the location in Baap (Rajasthan) was far from the hotel, but none of the actors ever complained," he added.

"Dedh Ishqiya" is scheduled to release Jan 31, 2014.
