Bangalore, Apr 18: MobileNXT Teleservices Pvt Ltd, on Monday, announced the roll-out of its chain of one-stop stores offering total mobile telecom experience, from handsets, accessories, choice of cellular service provider to value adds, data transfer facilities, unique exchange programme and after sales service.

Founder and CEO Vijay Menon said “We have invested $5 million for MobileNXT stores and plan to open 31 by the year-end, 97 by next year and 170 in the third year. We are targetting a turnover of Rs 380 crore.”

Karnataka will have its first store in Mangalore and Mysore in May, followed by Hubli in June and Bangalore in August. 
 
Founder and COO Romy Juneja said the primary focus is on creating an organised retail format in Tier II and Tier III cities, and our presence in large metros will be through shop-in-shop formats and malls.

The store will have different sections called StyleNXT for aesthetically designed phones, MusicNXT for phones with FM/Sony Walkman series, WorkNXT for PDA phones offering Microsoft Office facilities, GamesNXT for phones with gaming facilites, ShareNXT for phones with Bluetooth/infrared/camera and ValueNXT for phones that are economical.

Each person who buys a phone will receive an exchange certificate for upgrading and exchanging phones.

An integrated call-centre facility will provide information related to any product category or service can be sought. Products on sale will include GSM and CDMA handsets from all top manufacturers across the globe.

The interactive kiosk placed in every store, Menon said, will allow users download music, ring tones, wall papers, print photographs stored in their mobile etc all with an inbuilt money system.
