Kundapur, Apr 17: In the road mishap which took place on Sunday evening three persons were killed and four others injured. In the head-on collision between a truck and an auto rickshaw at Vasre of Teggarse in Byndoor police station limits here on Sunday auto driver Gopal Vasre (25), passenger Marli Vasre (50) and labourer (traveling in the truck) Muthaiah Onimane (38) succumbed to serious injuries.
The truck collided against the auto on the bridge and later plunged into the dry river killing the labourer on the spot. The auto driver was killed on the spot, while passenger Marli died on the way to the hospital.
The other passenger in the auto, Marli’s son Sheshu Marati miraculously survived but has sustained serious injuries.
Devo Marathi who was traveling in the truck and truck driver Manju Poojary too has sustained injuries.
