Mangalore, Apr 15: Corporation Bank executive director K L Gopalkrishna, on Thursday April 13, released ‘Mangalore Tourist Guide’, compiled by a team from the Rotary Club of Mangalore.

Speaking on the occasion, Gopalkrishna said that the city has a vast tourism potential and that the infrastructure for the same has yet to be developed.

Yogish Bhat, MLA, who was the guest of honour, said that a report has been submitted to the State government regarding the tourism potential in the district, and suggestions from the government is awaited.

The guide includes information of the city and surrounding places, hospitals, ATM centres, banks, hotels, foreign exchange centres, religious places, beaches etc. It also gives details of rail, bus and air timings.

Information also ranges from availability of  24-hour STD booths to developmental projects like SEZ.

The reference manual also caters information relating to the history and evolution of the city.
