Gutthi leaves Comedy Nights with Kapil

Mumbai, Nov 12: Gutthi - the funny dim-witted Punjabi next-door girl to Kapil Sharma on the Comedy Nights show, who is as much an integral part of the show as the remaining characters may not grace our screens anymore. Essayed by actor-comedian Sunil Grover, who has reportedly quit the show, Gutthi emerged an undeniable winner of hearts as she joked and sang with equal fervour and abandon.

Rumours say that Sunil Grover has quit the show for having got his request for increased pay being refused and then there are also reports that he has quit due to prior commitments. He won't be a part of the show anymore and is not likely to return any time too.

Sunil Grover was happy about his character being whole heartedly accepted as well as that he was working on a show that he has immense respect for. He expressed gratitude for the love and popularity the show and his character won him. Creative issues seem to be another reason cited for the comedian's exit from the show.

Sunil Grover rubbished rumours of any conflict with Kapil Sharma and wished everyone on the show the very best of luck.

Whatever the reason, Gutthi will be missed by the audiences and other members on the show, alike.
