Mangalore, Apr 3: Gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lac were stolen from the vanity bag of a woman while she was travelling on a city bus in the city on Sunday April 2.
Shameera, a resident of Mani in Bantwal was on her way back home from Krishnapur near Surtakal on Sunday when the thieves lifted ornaments from her bag. She was travelling to the city from Krishnapur on a city bus.
As soon as she came to know about the theft, she went to Suratkal police station to book complaint. However, police there did not register her case thinking that she was telling lies. She was asked to meet senior police officials.
But as per the guidelines given by the senior officers, Shameera has filed a case with the Kadri police in this regard.
