Kundapur, Apr 3: A pedestrian was knocked down to death by a speeding mobike at Kakkunje Cross near Shankarnarayana here on Sunday April 2 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Timmappa Shetty (60), a resident of Halady near here. He was walking beside the road, when a bike driven recklessly hit him from behind. As a result he sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Mangalore. However, he succumbed to the injuries later in the evening.
The Shankarnarayana police have booked a case against the bike rider in this regard.
