Indian-American doctor to be honoured in US


New York, Nov 9 (IANS): An Indian-American doctor has been chosen for a prestigious award in the US for his contribution to the health sector of the country.

Rahul Jindal, a transplant surgeon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre in Bethesda, will be honoured by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia Nov 13.

Jindal is also a clinical professor at George Washington University.

He obtained his MD from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, and then studied in Britain.
