PM to address Chhattisgarh Congress workers


Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Nov 9 (IANS): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will address a meeting of Congress workers ahead of the phase I polls in Chhattisgarh Nov 11, party leaders said Saturday.

According to these leaders, the prime minister will address around 4,000 Congress workers at the Balbir Juneja indoor stadium here.

Manmohan Singh's meeting comes after Congress chief Sonia Gandhi addressed a rally at Kondagaon district in the Bastar region Nov 7 followed by two rallies addressed by party vice president Rahul Gandhi in Rajnandgaon area and in Kanker Nov 8.

Chhattisgarh will vote for the 90-member house Nov 11 and Nov 19. The results will be out Dec 8.
