Kinnigoli, Apr 2: The decennial year celebrations of Catholic Sabha Pakshikere unit came to an end on Sunday, April 2. A programme to mark this event was held at the church hall which was presided over by Vicar Vara Kinnigoli Fr Patrick Rodrigues.

Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the work of Catholic Sabha in promoting leadership. “All credit should be given to the Catholic Sabha for nurturing leadership. The laiety are thus initiated into taking responsiblities of the Catholic church,” he said.

Director of Fr Muller Charitable Hospital Fr Stany Tauro was the chief guest. Superior of Maria Kripalaya Convent Pakshikere Sr Agnes and parish priest of Pakshikere church Fr Alban D’Souza were present on the occasion.

Extending its support to the poor and needy, Fr Muller Homeopathy Hospital has been conducting homeopathy camps at Pakshikere every Tuesday. In appreication of this service, the Catholic Sabha unit honoured Director of Fr Muller Charitable Hospital Fr Stany Tauro.

On the occasion prizes were also distributed to the winners of the elocution competion organised by the unit.

President of the unit Gilbert D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The annual report of the activities of the unit were placed before the audience by secretary of the unit Teresa Sequiera.

Ligory Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks and the event was compered by Jyoti Saldanha.
