Mangalore, Mar 31: A medical student who had failed in his exams for the last 5 times ended his life owing to frustration on Friday March 31 morning.

The deceased student has been identified as Abdul Asif.  He was the student of a prestigious medical college of the city.  He was residing in a rented house at Bagambila where he committed suicide.

However, the suicide came to light only on Friday March 31 morning when the neighbours broke open his door after getting nauseating smell from his house.  There they found him dead.

It is suspected that he might have ended his life at least a couple of days ago.  Since no one else was there, the incident came to light only on Friday morning.

Though the exact reasons for his death are not yet found, it is said that he was under distress after failing 5 times in his exams.

The Ullal police have registered a case in this regard.
