Pakistani Taliban chief killed in US drone strike: Report


Islamabad, Nov 1 (IANS): Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a US drone strike in the country's North Waziristan Agency, Geo News reported Friday.

His close aide Tariq Mehsud was also among six people killed, security sources said.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, however, said there was no confirmation of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief being killed in the drone strike.

The TTP has also did not confirm nor deny Hakimullah' death by drone strike.
