Daijiworld News Network – Kollur/Kundapur (VM)

Kundapur, Mar 23: Grand festivities marked the end of the nine-day annual Maha Rathotsava of Sri Mookambika Temple, Kollur here on Wednesday March 22.

Devotees from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Karantaka and other parts of the nation participated in the car festival. The Utsav Morthi of Godess Mookambika was taken from Ganapathi Temple to Olaka Mantapa and back through the Car Street. Later, thousands of devotees participated in the festivities in the temple.

Deputy Commissioner in-charge and administrator of the temple R Shantharaj and executive officer H M Kali were coordinators of the Rathotsava celebrations.

An auction was organized of the sarees offered to the goddess between March 18 and 23.
