Mangalore, Mar 23: Destiny took a cruel turn for 16 year-old Sheenappa Naik, a student who just gave his SSLC exams on Wednesday March 22, and was on his way home along with his friends, when a truck they were traveling fell into a deep gorge at Kedila village at Puttur.

Sheenappa and his friends, who answered their SSLC exams on Wednesday at Mani, were waiting for a bus to go to their homes at Perne. They boarded a Bangalore-bound truck, as none of the buses arrived at that time. Tragically, the truck plunged into a 50-feet deep gorge at Kedila.

While Sheenappa died on the spot, his friends survived with injuries and were admitted to a hospital.
