Imran Khan's wife Avantika recovering from dengue

Mumbai, Oct 24 (PTI): Actor Imran Khan's wife Avantika Malik, who was struck by dengue recently, is on the path of recovery.

"She (Avantika) is a bit fine now. Her platelet count is up now. She has to take bed rest for eight to ten days. Her blood tests are happening regularly... Don't know how everyone is getting dengue," Imran said at a film promotion event.

Avantika, who had been running high fever for quite some time, was recently diagnosed with dengue.

The vector-borne infection also struck actor Ranveer Singh when he was shooting in Durgapur.
