Mangalore, Mar 21: A shamiyana godown was gutted owing to short circuit near Mahalingeshwar Temple at Pandeshwar here on Monday March 20 afternoon.
The shamiyana godown belonged to Anis of 'Shade' enterprises. The fire brigade sources said that fire might have emanated owing to short circuit. The fire spread so fast and wild that 300 pillows, 200 beds, shamiyana, curtains, sidewalls and other things were reduced to ashes within a few minutes.
The total loss has been estimated at Rs 5 lac.
