Daijiworld News Network – Mangalore (VM)

Mangalore, Mar 21: The VII National Youth Parliament Competition jointly organized by Mangalore University and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs was held on Monday March 20 at Ravindra Kala Bhavan here.

Former Rajya Sabha member and advocate B Ibrahim inaugurated the event. Mangalore Bar Association president K S Sharma presided over the programme. There is a need to disseminate information on the rights and duties guaranteed by the constitution. The government should create awareness about this, he said. He further added that knowledge of the constitution was essential to keep track of those activities that are not good for the countries.

Four teams from SDM College, St Agnes College, Besant Women’s College and University College participated in the mock parliament.
