Bantwal, Mar 19: By connecting an iron pipe to the Mangalore-Hassan-Bangalore pipeline of MHB Company at Panjikallu in Bantwal taluk, thieves have stolen diesel worth Rs 40 lac.
The theft came to the notice of the company officials when they observed a low pressure in the pipeline from Sunday, March 12.

However, investigation brought to the light on Thursday March 16 that huge amount of diesel was stolen.

According to police sources, tanker full of diesel is estimated to be drawn from the connection made to the pipeline at Panjikallu. A case has been registered in this regard.
