Daijiworld News Network – Manipal/Udupi (VM)

Udupi: Mar 19: It was the Manipal Group which placed the barren hillock on the world map as a centre for advanced learning. The Manipal Academy of Higher Education has transformed the region into one of the nation’s prestigious education hub. A step ahead, MAHE has come up with a project to make Manipal a Green City.

MAHE on Saturday, March 18 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The ministry in collaboration with German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) has formulated a joint programme on Advisory Services in Environment Management (ASEM), which aims at improving environment and ensuring sustainable development.

In its campus, MAHE plans to have a pubic private partnership with ASEM to develop a sustainable eco campus and develop a model eco city.
