Learn a lesson from Singapore, Mandira urges Indian zoos


Mumbai, Oct 18 (IANS): Actress Mandira Bedi launched the`new holiday campaign of Singapore tourism and especially praised the Singapore zoo where animals are not caged.

She feels Indian zoos can learn a lesson from Singapore.

"Best thing about Singapore is that there is something for everybody. I did a lot of fun things with my son there. The Singapore zoo is spectacular. The best things about their zoo is that none of the animals has been kept in a cage," the 41-year-old said here Thursday.

"That was the best thing about the zoo. Animals are in their natural habitat and yet you are not in any kind of danger. The zoo experience was the best and I think our zoos, we can learn from Singapore," she added.

Mandira has recenly launched her line of saris and she also features in TV show "24" in a key role.
