Udupi, Mar 18: The Srimati Rukmini Shedti Memorial National Government First Grade College at Barkur near here, has proposed for a mid-day meal scheme for college students. This was informed by Sudhakar Shetty, president, College Formation Committee, who said that if the government contributes 50 per cent of the expenditure, the college would bear the balance cost.
The proposal will be put forth before the chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, during his visit to the college on Saturday March 18, he said.
