MANGALORE, March 17: As many as 250 competitors from all over the country will vie for honours in the 'Mr India-2006' bodybuilding competition, to be held in Mangalore on March 18.

Competitions will be held in nine weight categories in the general section, three in masters and two in the handicapped section, M Raghunath Shet, President of the Karnataka Association of Bodybuilders (KABB) told reporters on Thursday.

The weight categories would be 55 kg, 55-60 kg, 60-65 kg, 65-70 kg, 70-75 kg, 75-80 kg, 80-85 kg, 85-90 kg and plus 90 kg categories.

Shet said the 'Mr India' title winner would be presented with a Maruti Omni. The 'best poser' would be given a 22-inch colour television, he said.

The Dakshina Kannada Body Builders Association, under the aegis of KABB is hosting the competition.
