Parineeti thrilled to work with 'amazing' Anupam


Mumbai, Oct 15 (IANS): Three-film-old Parineeti Chopra gets a chance to work with seasoned actor Anupam Kher in "Daawat-e-Ishq" and says the excitement is high.

Parineeti concluded rehearsing with Anupam Kher and other cast members of the film, being made under Yash Raj Films banner. Aditya Roy Kapur and Karan Wahi too feature in the movie.

"Rehearsed and ready! Are we? Off to shoot 'Daawat-e-Ishq' with the amazing Anupam Kher. Aditya and Karan will join us soon," Parineeti posted on Twitter Tuesday.

'Mast' turns 14, Aftab happy

Aftab Shivdasani entered Hindi filmdom as a hero with "Mast" and he is in a celebration mood as his first movie completes 14 years Tuesday.

It's like a double bonanza for him as he also tasted big success with "Grand Masti" after a long time.

"Today 14 years ago my first film 'Mast' released. A beautiful journey so far. Thank you all of you who have supported me on this journey, love," the actor, who has been facing flops for the past few years till "Grand Masti" happened, posted on Twitter.

Aftab, who made his Bollywood debut as a child artist with super hit sci-fi movie "Mr. India" (1987), was seen with actress Urmila Matondkar in "Mast" that came out in 1999.

In the last few years, he was seen in some films like "De Taali", "Aloo Chaat" and "1920: Evil Returns", but none could impress the viewers.

Shruti Seth fumes over politicians' blame game

Actress Shruti Seth, seen in movies like "Raajneeti" and "Fanaa", is furious over Indian politicians blaming each other for stampede in Madhya Pradesh.

A large number of devotees had assembled at Durga temple in Madhya Pradesh's Datia district during Navratri festival.

The toll in the stampede Monday rose to 111, said an official.

"I hate politicians. Each and every one of them. Idiotic blame games. They don't care about anyone but themselves," Shruti posted on Twitter.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said that there are 500 such (religious) places and the central government should form a national plan and help states deal with it, but instead of this, Congress leaders are playing politics over dead bodies.
