Malawi president sacks government


Lilongwe (Malawi), Oct 11 (IANS): Malawian President Joyce Banda has dismissed the government after finding some of its members were linked to corruption, the presidential office said Tuesday.

Several government officials have been reportedly arrested on suspicion of embezzlement of public funds, Xinhua reported.

The new cabinet will be formed in the coming days, the office suggested.
