Tarun Tahiliani opens exclusive couture studio

New Delhi, Oct 10 (IANS): Ace designer Tarun Tahiliani is excited about giving fashion connoisseurs a high end couture experience with the launch of his flagship studio here, while one is coming up in Mumbai soon.

"The couture studio is all about bespoke, made to measure and very bridal collection... something what people want to wear at special occasions. For that, we will be at call with masters of the couture line for assistance. So basically we are doing this as special experience for couture lovers," Tahiliani told IANS on the sidelines of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

The couture studio is a true reflection of the luxury, design philosophy and signature style that the designer is known for. High ceilings, tone on tone layers, monogram colour variants of khaki and cut glass cupboards to house the collections will be seen.

"One will see beautiful fitting rooms so it's going to be totally different experience. It's about privacy, discretion, luxury and undivided attention to customers to fit and do what they have to. The studio will afford complete attention to the taste, fit and specific requirements of its clients," the designer added.

The studio encompasses men and women wear range and the collection available will not be seen at the Tarun Tahiliani multi-brand boutique. Located in the historic Mehrauli area in south Delhi, the studio will function entirely by appointment and house a range of special novelty textiles as well at prices starting from Rs. 3 lakh.

The Mumbai couture studio will open in Colaba near the Gateway of India.
