Gurmeet gears up for 'Nach Baliye 6'


Mumbai, Oct 10 (IANS): After bagging the trophy of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5", Gurmeet Chaudhary is busy preparing for "Nach Baliye 6", because he wants to put his best foot forward on stage.

He will be seen dancing with his wife and actress Debina Bannerjee in the dance reality show which will go on air on Star Plus later this year. .

"I want to give this project my one hundred percent, hence have been missing in action for a while," Gurmeet said in a statement.

"Given that this is a huge project and a challenge that Debina and I are extremely passionate about, we both have put in a lot of effort on our look and physique," said the actor, who gave some amazing performances on "Jhalak", including the one on "Roop tera mastana".

"While we are coming to win the heart of our fans, we would also like to give them a little surprise," he added.

"Nach Baliye 6" will be judged by actress Shilpa Shetty, director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis.

Devoleena celebrates Navratri as Gopi

Originally Bengali, but Devoleena Bhattacharjee's Gujarati character on "Saath Nibhana Saathiya" has made her familiar with navratri celebrations.

The actress plays Gopi Bahu in the show.

"Playing Gopi bahu has made me familiar to Gujarati traditions and now I know almost all rituals performed during Navratri in Gujarat. I love singing bhajans, offering prasad and doing garba," Devoleena said in a statement.

She further added:“In the show, we have planned a huge Navratri track ahead for the viewers."

The show is aired on Star Plus.

Kanchi taking mom's role seriously

Kanchi Kaul, who plays a mother in "Meri Bhabhi", seems to be taking her role seriously. The actress is seen to be spending time with her on screen son Dhruv, essayed by Sagar Cheda, on the sets.

"Before starting our day, Sagar comes wherever I am and plants a kiss on my cheek to wish me good morning. He is very loving," Kanchi said in a statement.

"When we are not shooting we gang up playing on the Ipad or his PSP and are constantly trying to get better at the games we play," she added.
