Egypt dissolves Muslim Brotherhood as NGO

Cairo, Oct 9 (IANS): Egypt's social solidarity ministry decided Wednesday to dissolve the Muslim Brotherhood as a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Xinhua reported citing official news agency MENA.

The ministry, which is in charge of granting licences to NGOs, will hold a press conference later to disclose further details.

A cabinet committee had Tuesday ordered the removal of the Brotherhood group from a government list of accredited NGOs.

Earlier, a Cairo court had ordered a ban on the group's activities, seizure of its funds and formation of a panel to administer its assets.

Best thing ever happened to Egypt in modern history.

Egypt must not be held at ransom by these fanatics anymore.

All countries well known to terrorism based on fundamentalism must take similar actions, including India, Pak, Afghanistan, Iran, and the rest of the moslem countries from Soviet republics, Chine, Russia, Africa, Europe and USA.
