Naveen Patnaik says not comfortable with Modi, rules out tieup

BHUBANESWAR, Ot 5 (India Express) :  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday ruled out reviving ties with the BJP with Narendra Modi at the helm, saying that “he is uncomfortable with the idea of Modi”.

In a freewheeling interview with The New Indian Express Editorial Director Prabhu Chawla at the second edition of the Odisha Literary Festival here, Naveen reasserted his stand on maintaining equi-distance from the Congress and BJP.

Disagreeing with the impression that the next election would be a presidential form of fight between Modi and Rahul Gandhi, Naveen said both of them do not have the pulling power.

It would be fought on the basis of ideologies rather than personalities, Naveen said and  dismissed his meeting with Modi as purely incidental with no political message.

On the other hand, Naveen praised Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a fine Prime Minister and did not deny when pointed out that he was happy with the idea of Vajpayee. When asked whether he would have supported the BJP under Vajpayee, Naveen said: “I do not have such vivid imagination.”

The Chief Minister also ruled out stepping into the national stage. “I would prefer to stay on here, whether in office or out of it, serving the people of Odisha,” he said.

A clear case of "well begun is half done"?

Modi has been in a mighty hurry to impress and this approach normally results in failure.

    He is slowly sliding down.

Day by day Modi is slowly becoming unpopular. By the time elections for LS are d the remaing allies like Shiv Sena and Akali Dal also may part ways with BJP. Let BJP change their PM candidate from Modi to Sushma Swaraj. However, it will be UPA who may be the ultimate winner. Let us all wait and see and even BJD (Biju Janata Dal) will join it. Long live the Secular Democracy. Jai HO.

As already commented, I guarantee the downfall of BJP due to one single person - FEKU. By the time BJP realizes their mistake, Congress will be in power with full majority in the Centre. Jai Congress. Jai Rahulji.

Congress must have threatened Patnaik that they will let loose the Caged Dog - CBI on him as Orissa mining scandals are as big as that of Karnataka or Coalgate, or Jagan Reddy. That is why Pattu suddenly changed his tune.
Orrissa Mining Co.Ltd, Share was once quoting as much as Rs.49,000/- per share but today it is down to paltry Rs.1800/- per share which means down by 96%.

Exactly, this is what I predicted
earlier. BJP is using Modi's FEKU
style. End of the day, like Mr.Naveen Patnaik Every body will back out. Because nobody in BJP including L.K, Sushma, Jaitly, and even Rajnath himself will not get along with FEKU. Finally, 'DOBI KA KUTTA NA GALI KA NA GHAT KA'.
    Mark my words.!!!!
