NRI student complains of ragging in Bengal institute

Kolkata, Oct 3 (IANS): A student, who had come from Britain to study in a hotel management institute here, has filed a police complaint that he was ragged by seniors inside the college campus.

The student Ricky Das, who came from Birmingham, was admitted at a private hospital for head injuries, police said.

Das, a first year student, complained he was physically and mentally harassed by seniors of the institutes located in the satellite township of Salt Lake.

"Sir, I am very frightened. I want them arrested," the victim told the media, saying he was unsure whether he could continue in the institute.
