Sultry Tuesday in Delhi, rains likely


New Delhi, Sep 24 (IANS): A sultry sunny morning in the capital with the minimum temperature recorded three notches above average at 26.3 degree Celsius. The Met office has forecast light rain in some parts of the city Tuesday.

"The skies will generally become cloudy with light rain and thunder shower in some parts of the city," an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

"Tuesday's maximum temperature will hover around 35 degree Celsius," the IMD official said.

Humidity at 8.30 am was 79 percent.

Monday's maximum temperature settled a notch above the season's average, at 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
