From Sanjay Borkar in Margao for Daijiworld News Network - Goa

Margao, Feb 28: Konkani Bhasha Mandal (KBM) Goa by a unanimous resolution has urged government to name the auditorium of upcoming building of Ravindra Bhavan at Margao, after the stalwart of Tiatr stage and multifaceted personality Joao Agostinho Fernandes (Pai Tiatrist).

In the matter they have also served a memorandum to art and culture department, adding the name of the legendary percussionist of Goa Laybhaskar Khaprumam Parvatkar’s name to be given to the open auditorium.

As there are so many suggestions received by art and culture minister Digamber Kamat regarding the same, he told this correspondent that the government would pay heed to the people's demand after discussing it at official level.

KBM, at its executive committee meeting held on February 19 have congratulated the art and culture department for their all efforts in bringing the prestigious “Ravindra Bhavan" project to Margao.

The government would have to bow to people's demand, Kamat hinted.
