Mangalore, Feb 24:  The foundation stone laying ceremony of Kalaangann’s second phase which would include a research and documentation centre, hostel block, guest block and terrace-theatre and other facilities will be held on Sunday February 26 at 10.30 am.

Bangalore-based businessman Rony Colaco will lay the foundation stone.  M A Rehman, proprietor, Saibeen Complex, and Basti Vasudev Shenoy, partner, Basti Purushottam Shenoy and Sons, will be the chief guests.

The first phase that was completed in December 2001 already houses Noreen and Ronald Mendonca amphitheatre, Ganga Gracy Naik hall, a library, dining hall, kitchen and related facilities.

The second phase being taken up is expected to involve an outlay of Rs 6,500,000 (Rs 65 lac), while the first phase has already cost Rs 80 lac.
