Mangalore, Feb 21: Synthia D’Souza of St Agnes Teachers Training Institute for Special Education has won the Dr B D Menon Gold Medal awarded to a meritorious candidate for the outstanding performance in the Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) examinations.
Synthia stood first in DSE (MR) examinations 2003-05 by securing highest marks (90.87 per cent). The award will be conferred at the National Institute for Mentally Handicapped.
She is the daughter of A John D’Souza, Shimoga.
