Kundapur, Feb 21: A pedestrian who was seriously injured after being knocked down by a speeding mobike at Neralkatte near here on Monday February 20, succumbed to the injuries in the hospital later in the day.

The deceased has been identified as Baccha Mogaveera (65), a resident of Nempu near here.  He was on his way back home after shopping when a mobike ran over him.  As a result he sustained serious injuries in his head.  So he was immediately taken to the hospital.  However, he succumbed to the injuries on the way itself.

On the other hand, even the bike rider, Ratnakar, an employee with the post office at Kenchanur too has sustained injuries and is admitted to a private hospital in the city.

The Kundapur police have registered a case after seizing the bike.
