Mangalore, Feb 21:  A fancy showroom and a beauty parlour were destroyed at Kunjatbail near here on Sunday February 19 night, when a fire broke out accidentally.

Articles worth Rs 3 lac were destroyed in the mishap. Fire personnel rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.

The fire reportedly broke out on account of an electrical short circuit. Mayor Ashraf and other officials visited the spot and assessed the damage.

The shop belonged to one Shalet Pinto. A case has been registered in the matter.
