Showcasing at Paris fair was an honour: Raseel Ansal

New Delhi, Sep 11 (IANS): Casa Paradox, a home décor brand, is said to be the first Indian company to have been invited to showcase at the Maison et Objet in Paris. Raseel Ansal, owner of the brand, said that it was one of the prestigious moments for them.

Casa Paradox, a French trade fair, took place Sep 6-10 in Paris.

"I was invited to attend the French trade fair as late as June this year... I showcased about 100 pieces from two collections," Raseel told IANS sharing her first hand experience at the exhibition.

"Maison is notorious for being the most snobbish fair internationally and, the hall that we were showcasing in is the most prime location where no other Indian has ever been showcased," she added.

Held biannually, the fair is among the three most important European events for interior design, so showcasing at the event certainly created some "challenging" moments for Raseel.

"What excited and made me nervous was that for the first time we are showcasing on an internationally visible platform. Initially, we were nervous with a whole lot of mixed feelings, but one needs to keep calm and be humble," she said.

The brand is the brain child of Raseel and her husband, businessman Navin Ansal. It was launched with an objective to carry out the business of architecture and interior design and the production of furniture and home accents.
