Mangalore, Feb 20: One person was killed and another injured after a motorcycle they were riding rammed into an electricity pole near Kuttar, off Konaje, here on Sunday February 19 night.
The deceased has been identified as Harish (24), a resident of Subhashnagar near Kuttar here. He was on his way to Kuttar from Ranipura pillion-riding his friend Charanraj's bike when the accident took place. Charanraj who was riding the bike, lost control over it and hit an electricity pole beside the road. Thereafter, the bike fell into a drainage injuring both Harish and Charanraj.
They were immediately rushed to a private hospital in the city. However, Harish succumbed to the injuries in the hospital in the late night. Charanraj is recovering in the hospital.
A complaint has been filed in the Ullal police station in this regard.
