Mangalore, Feb 20: Famous Indian Rock Band ‘Euphoria’ will be performing at INCIDENT, the annual intercollegiate festival of the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK) –Suratkal which will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at the institute.

Graded as one of the top inter-collegiate cultural festivals in this part of the world, this years event has created much hype as ‘Euphoria’ will be the as the star attraction. Last year huge crowds gathered to witness the ‘Parikrama’, yet another Indian rock band.

INCIDENT will be held for a period of five days and will culminate on March 5. The organizers this time have roped in renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.

“The beach events, which were a great hit with the colleges last year, are being held on a much bigger scale this year,” said convener of the event Vishal Agarwal. In addition to this there would be literary events, cultural shows, ramp and dance performances.

Theatre and stage events are being given extra prominence this time round. The eastern and western musicals at Incident have always managed to showcase some of the best talents in this part of the world, he added.

INCIDENT is the time when the otherwise "so very academic" engineers choose to let their hair down and unwind. It will be five days of pure unadulterated fun and everyone is invited to the party," said Vishal.

The mega event has obtained strong corporate backing from Indian Oil Corporation while the other major sponsors include Tata Consultancy Services, State Bank of India, Chowgule Group and Agile IT partners.

As many as 80 colleges are expected to take part in the national event.
