• Both deceased and injured hailed from Gujarat

Mangalore, Feb 18: In a fatal accident that took place on the National Highway 17 near KPT here on Saturday February 18 morning, a student of Nitte college was killed and one more student was injured.

The accident is said to have occurred in the small hours of Saturday.  It was only after a long while that some passers by saw two persons fallen on the road and bleeding profusely.  They immediately passed on information to the Kadri police.  Though the police arrived immediately, one of the riders had already breathed his last.  The other has been admitted to the AJ Hospital with serious injuries.

Both the deceased and the injured have been identified as students of Nitte College.  They were hailing from Gujrat. 

While the deceased has been identified as Neerav Patel, the injured is identified as Paresh patel. The vehicle that knocked the bike riders down has not yet been traced.

The Kadri police have booked a hit and run case in this regard.
