Mangalore, Jan 29: Corporation Bank general manager A Mohan Rao gave a call to budding managers to develop a successful intelligence which will help them to reach greater heights.

Speaking after inaugurating international management and IT fest Synergy'06 organised by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management here at TMA Pai International Convention Centre on Saturday, he said it is young managers, who have to take up the leadership of Indian economy. While globalisation has thrown open plenty of challenges and opportunities, the Indian economy, on the other hand, is poised for tremendous growth. Competition, he said, has become the buzz word and thus upcoming managers need to have clear goals set before them. "Dream of achieving and invest in your dreams," advised Rao.

Constant upgradation of skills and knowledge will help young managers emerge as performance-oriented pro-active managers, he added.

The chief guest on the occasion, Canara Bank general manager T D Pai said the present education institutions with their adopting methods that provide exposure to students and inculcate skills required for the industry, churn out high-quality human resource. This in fact, will prove general notion that universities and education institutions are solely academic and bookish wrong.

SDM College of Business Management principal Devraj K, students co-ordinator Vivek Mohan Alva, staff co-ordinator Pramela Shetty and Diyva Uchil and campus recruitment in-charge Mithun Rai K were present.
