Karkala, Jan 24: A teenaged boy of Nitte who was bitten by poisonous snake on Saturday January 21 night, died in the hospital here on Monday January 23.

Arun Kumar (14), son of the late Appu of Kedlaje near Nitte here was bitten by a venomous snake on Saturday night as he was going to watch TV in one of his neighbours' house.  He was immediately admitted to a clinic in the city and was recovering well.  However, on Monday morning his health deteriorated suddenly, so he was taken to a Government Hospital here.  But he breathed his last on Monday night.  Arun Kumar was a class seventh student in one of the local schools. 

 The Karkala rural police have registered a case in this regard.
